This morning, before school, our staff made a breakfast of green eggs and ham for our parents and students.

Students worked in the Science Lab today to build structures that could survive an earthquake simulated by a shaking jello base.

Congratulations to Mr. Paul Arreola for being named Buttonwillow's Teacher of the Year. A well deserved honor voted on by his peers.

Parent Club Family Movie Night. Buttonwillow families enjoying a fun evening with popcorn and pajamas.


Great after school programs are taking place at BW. Classes include reading and math intervention, music, literature, food prep, and a class on tools. School as it should be at Buttonwillow. Thirty percent of the student body are participating. We enjoy 10 different classes and clubs. Really like that our Lead Custodian Steven Santillan is teaching the tool and small repair job class.
Buttonwillow teachers using their Saturday to learn about improving our Response to Intervention programs.


Don't forget Family Movie Night on Wednesday, January 26th at 6:00 PM in the gym. The event is sponsored by the Parent Club.

Our students were invited by California Resources Corporation today to visit the Elk Hills oil fields. They had a complete tour and lunch.
